From the manufacturer, W.C. Coleman, who could see the light for the darkness, was a young salesman taking a stroll after a hard day’s work selling typewriters. He stumbled upon a new type of lamplight in a drugstore window in Brockton, Alabama. This new light burned with a strong, steady white flame fueled by gasoline, unlike the standard kerosene lamp of the era that produced a smoky, flickering, yellowish light. As someone with very poor eyesight, W.C. was intrigued by the new, steady white light that allowed him to read even the smallest print in books and on medicine bottles. Recognizing the potential in this new light, Coleman saw an opportunity to create a company that would revolutionize America’s farms and ranches, eventually making his name synonymous with outdoor fun.

One of Coleman's innovative products is an iceless cooler that can chill everything inside to 40°F below the surrounding temperature. This cooler can be easily plugged into an outlet at home (with a separate adaptor) or in your vehicle using the included power cord. The quiet, long-lasting motor does the work, making it ideal for use in various settings such as the office, dorm rooms, RVs, campers, truck cabs, cars, boats, or SUVs. The cooler is large enough to hold 44 cans and can be used as a chest or upright like a small refrigerator, with a door that can open from either side. Additionally, the lightweight design of only 18 lbs. allows for easy transportation to and from your car or truck. The cooler also features a 12V plug (5 Amps/60 Watts) with an 8-ft. power cord, enabling you to power the pump from your car or boat outlet.
